Jubilee By The Sea 2007

I apologize for the delay in posting. I know some of you are anxious to hear about Jubilee. I didn't mean to keep you hanging, so to speak. I had actually planned to do an update when I got home from church every night, but by the time I walked in the door, it was way past my bedtime already. And then with all the busyness of getting prepared for the following day, I never got around to my blogging. :(

But anyway, Jubilee was definitely a huge success! The Lord poured out His blessings upon each and every service. Souls were saved; burdens were lifted; decisions were made. I believe that many lives were changed... for the better... thanks be to our Heavenly Father, during this year's Jubilee.

It was great to see old friends again, and to make some new ones, as well. We had great attendance numbers this year... 532 on the first night, then 678 during Sunday morning's Jubilee wrap-up. What a blessing!

We raised over $35,000 in a little more than 25 minutes on Sunday, after the preaching service. Glory to God, for always providing what we need financially, as well as spiritually, to keep this annual event going strong!

Afterwards, we ate some of the best (if not THE best) chicken bog on the planet! A big thanks to Preacher Mack Hutson for cooking it for us again this year. He pastors over at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Loris... which is where I attended on Sunday night, by the way. We appreciate his sacrifice of time and energy (and sleep). We love you, Preacher Mack!

We enjoyed this past week so much, that some of us have now diagnosed ourselves as having "After Jubilee Letdown", as we adjust to getting back to our normal routines. Of course, we carry the messages of each service with us in our hearts, still. But boy, how we long for that "Jubilee spirit" to continue on!

If you've never attended our Jubilee before, I encourage you to make plans to come next year. (Jubilee is always the first Wednesday through Sunday of November.)

Again, I apologize for the delay in posting. I'll do my best to post atleast 2 or 3 times each week, now that Jubilee is behind us.

Prayer Requests ( UPDATED)

Allen's parents (Angel & Jimmy), unsaved.
Mr. Carol's family, for grace as they deal with his passing; most of all, for the salvation of those who aren't saved.
Daddy, desperately needs the Lord in his life; also physical healing.
Debra's son & husband, unsaved; also pray for her mother who has lung disease; and another unspoken.
Eddie (my dear friend, Kathy's husband), has black lung disease. Pray for his salvation, first and foremost!
Ginger's Dad, spiritual growth & special unspoken.
Kim, has MS; also her husband (Larry) has been battling cancer for about 3 years now; has suffered alot of nerve damage from his treatments.
Lorrie's brother (Brian), unsaved
Lorrie's Dad, has been very sick; recently passed out & fell; very banged up
Rita B., health problems; also pray for her elderly mother, who is in beginning stages of Alzheimer's & numerous other health problems.
Rita P., special unspoken; also for children and their families; and for God's Will in each of their lives; pray for husband's new ministry, for God's Will in it.
Uncle Gene, has cancer and other health problems. Pray for his daughters and their families (all of our family) to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ; not just lip-service.

** Please pray for all of my unsaved family members and friends, that they would be saved before it's too late. We none know when that "last chance" may be.

** Pray for the Reformers Unanimous Addictions program at our church. God is working tremendously there, and we want others to share our desire to help folks turn from their addictions/strongholds, and turn to the Lord. Please pray for much-needed help in this vital ministry.

** Pray for revival in America; for our nation's leaders (our president, especially), for salvation & for Godly wisdom; also pray for the peace of Israel.

** Pray for safety for our service men and women, who are fighting overseas for freedom.

The Chosen Vessel

The Master was searching
for a vessel to use;
On the shelf there were many
which one would He choose?
"Take me", cried the gold one.
"I'm shiny and bright.
I'm of great value
and I do things just right.
My beauty and luster
will outshine the rest
And for someone like You, Master,
gold would be the best!"
The Master passed on
with no word at all;
He looked at a silver urn,
narrow and tall;
"I'll serve You, dear Master,
I'll pour out Your wine
And I'll be at Your table
whenever You dine,
My lines are so graceful,
my carvings so true,
And my silver will always
compliment You."
Unheeding, the Master
passed on to the brass,
It was wide mouthed and shallow,
and polished like glass.
"Here! Here!" cried the vessel,
"I know I will do.

"Look at me", called the goblet

to a vessel of wood,
